Prepare an urgent movement brief
A useful urgent brief separates the true deadline from preferences and gives the transport review enough detail to assess a workable response.
Checklist
- Earliest cargo-ready time and latest acceptable delivery
- Full collection and delivery addresses, including postcodes
- Named contacts, telephone numbers and site operating windows
- Number of pieces, packaging, dimensions and total gross weight
- Loading, unloading, access and proof-of-delivery requirements
- Any controlled, restricted, fragile, valuable or temperature-sensitive characteristics
Useful note
If the deadline is linked to a flight, production stop, engineer visit or booked slot, include that operational milestone and the consequence of missing it.
